Pacifier Cleaning Guide

Latex Pacifiers

Before First Use

A one-time process before first use to remove any potential manufacturing residue.

Boil: Submerge pacifiers in a pot of boiling water for 5 minutes.
Dry: Carefully remove and place them on a clean towel to air dry completely. Once cooled, squeeze out any excess water from the nipple valve.

This method should be used for first time use only. In rare cases, latex may transfer onto the pacifier shield during the initial boiling process. This typically happens if too many pacifiers are boiled at once and rub against each other, or the side of the pot. To prevent this, we recommend always boiling pacifiers one at a time.

For ongoing care, we recommend sterilizing pacifiers regularly (once a day is a good rule of thumb). Keep in mind that over-sterilizing can potentially weaken materials, so it’s best to strike a balance between maintaining proper hygiene and preserving durability.

As your baby grows, you can consider transitioning to regular washing with warm water and gentle soap. After six months, as children’s immune systems become stronger, daily sterilization isn’t always necessary but remains a safe option for parents who want to ensure the highest levels of hygiene.

Regular Care
Step 1: Cleaning
Wash by hand with mild soap and warm water.
Step 2: Sterilizing

Scalding Method
1. Place pacifiers in a clean bowl and pour enough boiling water to cover them completely.
2. Let them soak for approximately 5 minutes.
3. Carefully remove the pacifiers and place them on a clean towel to air dry.
4. Squeeze out any excess water from the nipple valve.

Microwave sterilization is not suitable for natural rubber latex pacifiers, as latex degrades at lower temperatures than silicone.
